I never miss a POWERWOLF release, and I got the 2CD + booklet "Mediabook" edition directly from Napalm Records via mail order, but this digital deluxe edition has all the greatest hits in their live version. Can't wait to see the Wolves in Dübendorf in less than a month!!

Good album overall, some of the orchestrals stand out (the title track in particular) and the live performance sounds surprisingly clean and inspired. A bit disappointed by the fact that Joan of Arc is simply a rehash of Sainted by the Storm, which was just fine the way it was. Reusing old material when there's clearly capacity for bold new songwriting feels a little cheap, an issue which Powerwolf has struggled with for a while.

The only word I can think of to describe Gloryhammer is.. Epic. As a huge Manowar fan back in the day this is definitely in my wheel house. This album specifically is amazing. Give them a try! My only complaint is I hadn't heard of them before now!!
